About Us

Herbie Wiles Insurance was founded in 1961 by Herbie Wiles, a WWII Navy veteran and lifelong St. Augustine resident. A Florida State University business graduate, Herbie began his career with State Farm before launching his own independent agency. He led the company for decades, remaining active in its operations and community service until his passing in 2019. Today, his son Doug continues the legacy. Herbie also served on boards and councils for local institutions including Flagler Hospital, Flagler College, and the St. Augustine Historical Society.

The hometown St. Augustine team at Herbie Wiles Insurance is united by a commitment to trust, service and genuine care for the communities we serve. Each insurance professional brings personal dedication to helping clients protect what matters most through thoughtful guidance and dependable coverage. With decades of integrity and local involvement behind us, we take pride in building real relationships, supporting meaningful community efforts, and delivering the kind of service that brings lasting peace of mind. Here, you’ll find a team that puts clients first — every time, in every interaction.
