Requirements for documentation vary, depending on citizenship and other factors. Vehicle Registration
Motor vehicles must be registered within ten days of the owner either becoming employed, placing children in public school, or establishing residency in Florida. Otherwise, 6 percent sales tax is due when registering, which can be offset by any sales tax already paid, up to 6 percent.
